Description

This vinegar was our first sweet & sour vinegar to be released, it is a versatile vinegar that can either be used with desserts, or as a normal vinegar.  It is ideal for those who like balsamic vinegar, but with a raspberry flavour twist.

Our sweet & sour raspberry vinegar is made using our cider vinegar, sugar and raspberry juice. It is available in 25cl bottles.

Production

The process used in order to produce the vinegar is simple and traditional.

We start by making apple juice and then we ferment it twice. During the first fermentation the sugar from the apples is converted into alcohol, and during the second fermentation the alcohol is converted into acetic acid. It is thus that the cider and the cider vinegar are produced.

Overall our vinegar takes about a year to be produced.

After the cider vinegar is finished, we press raspberries to make raspberry juice and add the raspberry juice to the cider vinegar.

After making the raspberry vinegar we add some sugar to the mix to make it sweet.

Este vinagre tanto pode ser utilizado com doces, como com salgados.

Pode ser utilizado como um vinagre normal, para temperar saladas e vegetais crus ou cozinhados. Liga bem com carne, enchidos, peixe e marisco. Liga muito bem com queijos, frutos secos e com todo o tipo de fruta fresca.

É óptimo para utilizar como topping para sobremesas. Liga muito bem com chocolate, caramelo, café, mel, canela e baunilha. Liga bem com aveia, bolachas de arroz e pipocas.

Também pode ser utilizado para preparar refrescos e cocktails.
