[add_to_cart id=”786″]Produced with organic apples cultivated on the portuguese Oeste region, this liqueur is clearly unmistakable. With a familiar taste reminiscent of apples and cinnamon, it is one of the more traditional liqueurs we produce.
With a low alcohol content – 16% vol. – it is more of a crème than a classic liqueur. It is available in both 20cl and 50cl bottles.
This liqueur is made with organic apple brandy produced in-house. In the overall we use more than 3 kilos of fruit in order to produce one liter of this liqueur – more than 80% of the total ingredients used.
This liqueur is made exclusively with sweet apples – such as royal gala, gala must, or galaxy. The apples were produced by Octávio Martins – biorainha.blogspot.pt – near Caldas da Rainha.
Aside from the fruit, organic cane sugar and spices were also used, all of them provenient from organic farming.
This liqueur can be drank straight, chilled, or on the rocks. It can also be used as an add-on for several deserts, including ice cream.

Apples are one of the things that better characterizes the region of Alcobaça. They were brought to this region on the 12th century by the Cister monks when they first settled. From then on the orchards have become a natural part of the landscape. From an ideal dessert after a copious meal on the nearby monastery, the apple has grown to become a symbol of the region.
Famous for their sweetness, perfume and colour, there are several varieties of apples that have become commonplace – royal gala, delicious, jonagold, fuji, casa nova de Alcobaça, golden delicious, granny smith and reineta parda are some of them.
With different flavours, each one of them, we tend to prefer the royal gala and fuji varieties for our liqueurs as we find them to be the sweetest of them all.
With a sweet, crunchy, juicy and firm pulp, these apples are picked from August until as late as October, depending on the variety.
